You’ve made up your mind. It’s going to be Bali and you’re going to stay in Seminyak. Now you are wondering what villa to book, what to do, where to go and how to make the most of your time. Let’s make it easy for you with our couples’ guide to Seminyak.
Things to do for couples in Seminyak
From sunset gazing to romantic dinners, memorable scooter rides and soaking in the pool and tub of your private villa. Here’s what to do then you’re in love and in Bali:
1. Sunset time = the peak hour of romance
Don’t hold back! When sunset strikes, it is okay to have someone snap some gorgeous sunset photos of you love birds on the beach! The two of you are glowing and in love, the ambience is just right and the timing perfect to capture that touch of Bali Magic on camera. You won’t be the only ones posing on the beach but it doesn’t matter. Sunset time is the peak hour of romance in Seminyak! Love is in the air and you will feel it!
2. Horse riding on the beach
Who would’ve thought you can go horse riding in Seminyak on the beach. Well, you can! When chilling out at La Plancha or one of the other beach bars on Double Six Beach, you will sometimes see horses passing by in the afternoon just before sunset strikes. It’s perfectly romantic and you can take unique sunset photos! Make your lovers dream come true and book it as a surprise. (S)he’ll love it!
3. Stay home and take a flower bath
Nothing better than just lounging at your private pool villa, soaking in a flower bath and hiring a private chef to prepare a delicious meal you can enjoy by the poolside under Bali’s sparkling starry night sky. You can start and end the day with a flower bath. Wonderful! The photo above is taken at The Layar Villa near Eat Street in Seminyak.
4. Have a floating breakfast in the pool
Imagine soaking in your private swimming pool while sipping coffee and enjoying breakfast in the gentle morning sunshine. It’s pretty heavenly! Ask the villa manager or other staff members for the possibilities. Surely, they will be happy to make the arrangements for a floating breakfast in the pool of your Seminyak Holiday Home.
5. Go drive!
It’s time to go on a little adventure. Hire a bike (bring your international drivers licence!) and go explore the beaches in Uluwatu with your baby on the back. Driving along the coastline, stopping at secret bays and epic rock bars is an unforgettable experience! Bring your bathers, a sarong, sunglasses and sunblock and you’re good to go! It takes approximately 40 minutes to drive to Uluwatu on a scooter from Seminyak.
6. See a movie
What’s a love trip without going out to see a movie on some random night when you feel like holding hands and eating popcorn? Near to Seminyak, there are several great modern cinemas showcasing the latest blockbuster movies. We recommend going to Beachwalk Shopping Centre in Kuta. The cinema is located on the first floor and a movie ticket only costs a couple of dollars. Not to forget the fabulous beachfront location. You can do some sunset gazing and roll from the beach into the movie theatre. Amazing!
The most romantic places to go out for dinner
Rice field views, exquisite French Mediterranean cuisine and a wide selection of imported wines, Metis Bali has everything for a perfect romantic evening out. The restaurant is located in Petitenget, featuring a lovely garden, gorgeous interiors and professionally trained, very attentive staff.
One of the most famous restaurants in Seminyak and winner of many awards, Sarong sits on the buzzing Petitenget Strip in Seminyak. If you can’t get enough of Asian cuisine, you will find the best at Sarong Restaurant in Seminyak. The perfect choice for a romantic evening out.
Farm-to-table authentic Italian food, a starry night sky above, live music and jam sessions – we love Zibiru restaurant in Seminyak! Everything is handmade with love and a passion for the Italian kitchen. Zibiru gets their produce from local farms on the island of Bali and they make their own pasta, bread and cheese.
Great for an evening of sushi and live Jazz music! Make reservations for a Monday evening around 8 pm and make sure to get a table upstairs at Ryoshi House of Jazz in Seminyak. The band starts around 9.30 pm and they will rock the place until midnight. Don’t be surprised if you find yourselves dancing in front of the stage. Rio Sidik Quartet is an amazing live band. You won’t know what hit you!
